Cookie policy
Last updated: September 2026
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser to remember something between pages or between visits. Other equivalent local-storage techniques also count as cookies in legal terms.
This site uses as few as possible. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising, no social media pixels and no profiling of any kind.
Visit statistics are our own and use no cookies: we note the page viewed, where you came from, the language and whether it is a phone or a computer. To count unique visitors an anonymous identifier is calculated that changes every day and cannot be linked to you.
Cookies in use
| Name | Type | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
hr_sid |
Technical (necessary) | Keeps your session while you browse and holds the security token that prevents a third party from submitting the form in your name. The contact form does not work without it. | Deleted when you close the browser |
hr_cookies |
Technical (necessary) | Remembers that you have already seen and answered the cookie notice, so it is not shown again on every page. | 6 months |
Third-party services
The site's typefaces (Fraunces and Inter) are loaded from Google Fonts. Google sets no cookies when serving them, but it does receive your browser's IP address when they are downloaded. If you would rather avoid that connection entirely, the fonts can be self-hosted; see the project's technical notes.
The site is hosted on a server whose provider records access logs (IP address, date, page requested and browser) for security and maintenance. These are server logs, not cookies, and they are covered in the privacy policy.
How to manage them
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking technical cookies will stop the contact form from working.
Because this site only uses strictly necessary cookies, you are not asked for prior consent to set them: the rules exempt them. The notice you see the first time is informational, and from it — or from the footer link — you can review this policy at any time.
Per-browser instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all document cookie management in their own help pages.
