How I work: one-to-one therapy online and in person in Miami

A clear process, at your pace and in your language

No two recoveries are the same, but there is one way to start: understanding properly where you are before deciding where we go.

  1. 01

    Free assessment

A no-commitment conversation to understand your situation and your needs. I listen, I ask, and I tell you plainly whether I can help and how.

  2. 02

    A plan

We set concrete goals, how often we meet and in what format: online, in person in Miami, or a combination. Everything adapts to your pace and your life.

  3. 03

    Individual sessions

One-to-one therapy. We combine different techniques depending on what you need: emotional work, relapse prevention, anger management, self-esteem or relationship dynamics.

  4. 04

    Family and follow-up

Where it makes sense, I work with the family too. Once the goals are met we keep a follow-up in place to consolidate progress and prevent relapse.

Frequently asked questions

What happens in the first session?

We focus on getting to know your story in more detail and on agreeing concrete goals: what you want to change and how we will know you are making progress. You do not need to prepare anything or know how to explain it all; sorting out what is happening is part of the work.

How long is each session, and how often?

Each one-to-one session lasts 50 to 60 minutes. We agree the frequency depending on your case: usually closer together at the start, then more spaced out as you progress.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the case. Some processes resolve in a handful of sessions; others need months of sustained work. What I do from the start is set concrete goals, so you always know what we are working towards and can see whether you are moving.

Can my family come?

Yes, and in many cases it is decisive. I offer assistance and therapy for the patient's family, as well as guidance for adult children of dysfunctional families. One person's recovery affects the whole household, and working with only one part usually leaves the system half-treated.
